I. Presentation

APG, a family-owned SARL based in Seine et Marne in Provins, 1h15 from Paris, has been working for several years now in close collaboration with the world of bookbinding and catering.

In order to ensure satisfaction and thus the loyalty of our customers, we have implemented a "quality" policy which remains our main objective.

Our experience has led us to take into account the needs of bookbinders, which is why we have diversified our products and services.

Our company therefore brings together four complementary poles of activity:

- The manufacture of binding material

- The maintenance of the binding material

- The sale of binding supplies

- The sale of ARTMO photo albums and various notebooks

      II. Binding material manufacturing

In order to be at the cutting edge of technology, both mechanically and in terms of tools, our company invested in 2011 in a new fleet of machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, machining center.

As the last French manufacturer of this type of equipment, it is essential for us to be able to produce these machines in the best conditions.

Each stage of manufacturing is rigorously controlled. Our binding equipment (vices, impact presses), being fully machined in our workshop.

In addition to this manufacturing, we are regularly called upon to reproduce and adapt the different parts that make up these very specific machines, whether they are very old or more recent.

Similarly, we carry out all types of adaptation according to user demand (setting up a pedal, manufacturing a complete paperweight system, transforming a shears with setting up a counterweight etc.)

We also manufacture tailor-made shear blades from specially selected high quality steel.

     III. Maintenance and restoration

Thanks to our know-how, we maintain the equipment of a very large number of binding workshops.

This maintenance consists of an annual intervention, in particular concerning the shears, including the disassembly of the blades, the sharpening, the reassembly but also the adjustment and the squaring.

Our customers are also administrations (numerous departmental archives, Carnavalet museum, Forney library, the various sites of the National Library of France, the Concours Commun, Louvre museum, Palace of Versailles, Vincennes, numerous media libraries, etc.), schools (Tolbiac high school, Estienne school, Vésinet Applied Art Workshop) as professional bookbinding workshops, associations as well as many individuals.

In addition, during emergency situations (equipment failure, adjustment, breakdown on cutter), our customers know that they can count on our reactivity to carry out, as quickly as possible, the necessary interventions and repairs.

Our experience and in-depth knowledge of these machines make our company the benchmark on the market.

In the interest of productivity, we invested in 2009 in a plane grinder particularly suitable for sharpening shear blades.

Regarding safety standards, we tailor protections on cardboard shears regardless of their cutting length. These protections have been approved by Bureau Veritas on the shears of the Carnavalet museum.

     IV. Marketing of binding supplies

Our supplies are selected with extreme attention so that they are able to meet in terms of quality the specifications that we have established with the help of demanding professional bookbinders.

We therefore sell paper, cardboard, glue, leather, tools and materials.

We have established partnership relationships with large groups such as Clementz Euromégras (cutters and shears from the IDEAL range) but also with Fortuna (paring machine) or the Schimanek group.

Choosing your partners carefully is the assurance of respecting our quality charter.

     V. Marketing of ARTMO products

Since June 2016, we have acquired the company ARTMO, specialist in paper blocks, photo albums and various notebooks. All of these products will soon be included on this site.
